David Billeter has spent most of his career leading security and privacy programs for companies in hospitality, retail, travel, and software, including IHG, Staples, CA Technologies, Travelport, and Sonesta. Much of his work has focused on helping organizations take a practical approach to risk: building teams, responding when things go wrong, and explaining security in terms that boards and business leaders can act on. David is also an attorney, and early in his career he worked on electronic signature and e-commerce law through the American Bar Association. Today he is especially interested in how organizations can adopt AI responsibly, and he enjoys writing about and discussing the questions that raises.
